There are many different benefits that you can acquire from the Marine Corps. The initial benefit that Marines get is being a part of a life long brotherhood. Marines also obtain great health benefits. Every active duty Marine and their immediate family members get free health and dental care. If they retire from the Marine Corps, that person and their family still gets those health benefits. Also, they get housing benefits; however, if a Marine is single then he/she will live in the barracks with another Marine. If the Marine has a family then they will be in the military housing program that gives the Marine and their family their own house on base. The military will give qualified Marines a housing allowance, which is for Marines that do not wish to live on base with their family. Another great benefit of being a Marine is that they get an opportunity to travel all around the world. A Marine can be stationed at a Marine base anywhere from Hawaii to Japan. There are also education benefits that are available through the Marine Corps. Up to 100% of a Marines education through different programs such as, tuition assistance, the post 9-11 GI bill, and the Marine Corps college fund. ("www.marines.com")
